AIF Insurance Center Regulatory Working Group Discussion

The session will seek to formalize the working group to facilitate a deeper understanding of the practical ramifications of proposed regulatory reforms and foster a landscape of collaborative and forward-thinking regulatory frameworks.

Navigating the Confluence of Investing and Risk Management

In the inherently liability-driven landscape of insurance companies’ investment programs, understanding the dynamics of risk and return across different asset classes becomes paramount. This session embarks on a deep-dive to scrutinize whether the returns garnered align appropriately with the foreseen risks involved.

Casting a spotlight on prominent strategies including LDI/ALM, we will delineate their roles in orchestrating risk management and optimizing capital efficiency. Furthermore, a critical evaluation of the existing metrics for risk assessment will be undertaken, exploring the temporal dimensions of risk measurement and the hierarchical approach to risk prioritization in investment verdicts.
